The brief ‘He/She/They Said’ involved recording a snippet of conversation we had overheard in public, and creating an A3 response with a quote included. We had to take inspiration from the environment we were in.

I had overheard my conversation at a pub quiz. My quote, “I think everybody got that one” was from a girl responding to her friend about an easy question.

I chose to create an A3 rug, inspired by the classic Rossini pub carpet found at my location. To keep in style with these carpets, I chose the colours red, blue and yellow. I made the piece by using a punch needle to thread yarn into a canvas.
